　SAT阅读有一部分题目是主旨题，涉及到大家如何提炼主题，考验的是大家的宏观把控能力，那么主旨题如何把握呢?以下题为例，给大家讲解关于主旨题目的做题技巧：

　　题眼： mainly discuss

　　Main idea/ point/ purpose/ title/ topic

　　Answer which of the following questions

　　有些文章的主旨出现在文章中部。

　　题型： 全文主旨题与段落主旨题

　　方法： 对全文主旨题而言

　　1.根据文章首段或尾段内容直接选答案

　　2.也可以根据选项排除部分答案。需要排除的选项所具备的特征： 含有细节的内容，因为细节是分论点

　　没有全文的写作对象

　　与全文作者的态度一致

　　3.要注意的是全文主旨题在做题顺序中要放到最后 比如，只有一段话的小阅读，

　　The primary purpose of the main passage is to

　　A. analyze an interesting feature of the English language

　　B. refute a belief held by some linguists

　　C. show that economic theory is relevant to linguistic study

　　D. illustrate the confusion that can result from the improper use of language

　　E. suggest a way in which languages can be made more nearly perfect

　　The common belief of some linguists that each language is a perfect vehicle for the thoughts of the nation speaking it is in some ways the exact counterpart of the conviction of the Manchester school of economics that supply and demand will regulate everything for the best. … No language is perfect, and if we admit this truth, we must also admit that it is not unreasonable to investigate the relative merits of different languages or of different details in languages.

　　SAT主旨阅读题中文对照：

　　每一种语言都是一个民族思想的完美载体，这个普通的观点就跟曼彻斯特经济学派关于供求关系最 能调节好一切着一个观点类似。„没有一个种语言是完全有效的，如果我们承认这是真的，那么我们 必须承认，研究不同语言或者不同语言的细节内容的优缺点，这一观点不是不合理的。

　　我们可以看出首先得一个 linguists 的 common belief，即 each language is perfect 最后一句话作者说出了 他的 topic sentence，no language is perfect。因此，这段话非常明显的是一个批驳一种观点的题型：先 提出一个观点，再对它进行批驳。这道题选 B。
