There are, irrefutably, immense benefits that exist by playing team sports such as football and baseball. Firstly, whether or not the team results can outperform other team outcomeshinges on the entire team rather than on a single member. This means that no matter the talent level, every participant must rely on teammates, which promotes the virtue of working together. Without a group of players simultaneously training cooperatively towards the same goal, the team performance will falter. Another benefit is that players are usually highly adaptable. On the other hand, being a lone wolf is a challenge but can foster other qualities. To be more precise, athletes will learn to be self-reliant on solo sports. When it comes to an art or craft activity that I had at school, I’d like to talk about a thing that I did as a young elementary school student.
Back then, my school often organized lots of extracurricular activities to help us learn something out of books. There was an activity to help homeless cats near our district and we were all excited to participate in. As a prerequisite for attending this activity, we were required to build a paperboard house for those cats. So our teacher in art class led us to accomplish this meaningful task.In order to make this “house”, I used some hard cardboard, some magnet papers, a hole puncher, and a couple of heavy binding cords.
For starters, I cut strong cardboard into two sheets in the same size, and I cut as many sheets of magnet papers as I wanted to the same dimensions. Then, I just attached those magnet papers withthe cardboard in order to stack them in a layer on top of another. After that, I punched two holes along one side of the stacked layers in order to tie them together with the cord binders by threading through the punched holes. In the end, I painted the house into pink as I thought it would attract cats to come in.
Anyway, I felt really great about this particular art and craft activity as I could actually see the result of my hard work with my own eyes. Besides, this special activity also allowed me to share some good laughs and quality time with some of my other fellow students. On top of that, I could contribute something to those homeless cats, which was really meaningful and it could often remind me ofcherishing those little lives.
